I’ve mourned for you though you never have been.
Every cycle holding my breath waiting for you, always ending in blood soaked disappointment.
Doctors met and dollars spent bankrupt my soul.
Mourning you though you have never been.
Mourning you though you may never be.
Mourning my legacy that will not carry on beyond my final heartbeat.
Mourning the love that never has been.
